Prehistories.

In Prehistories you are the leader of a prehistoric tribe. You will send your best hunters out into the valley to track the animals and then ask the shaman to paint your achievements on the walls of your cave.

Simultaneous, secret bids determine who gets to hunt where. The more hunters you have, the bigger prey you can catch, but bigger game will slow you down.

Prehistories uses polyomino tiles to represent prey, with more hunters being required for larger tiles. This is combined with hand and risk management making it a highly replayable game with different objectives each time you play.

Editorial Reviews of Prehistories

This is a fantastic family board game and I am not sure why it hasn’t garnered more attention. I enjoy playing it as much as my kids. Even better, we are all playing equal to one another. I can also open the box with friends and enjoy it the same, as a light filler option. It’s still surprisingly rare for a board game to accomplish that difficult balance between fun for the grown-ups yet family friendly. I can only think of a few that do really successfully, and Prehistories is one of them. If you are looking for a new family-weight board game, Prehistories should certainly be on your list of games to consider. - Read more at Board Game Review UK

Overall, this is a family level game I could easily play with Mini-meeple as I do with older gamers. Younger ones might not tap into the strategy fully just yet, but beating someone else in the race to go first and pattern matching the objective cards definitely clicked with our tiny hunter. - Read more at Favourite Foe
