CloudAge is a strategy game from award-winning designers Alexander Pfister and Arno Steinwender.

CloudAge is set in, and above, a desolate landscape of destruction. The mysterious secret society “Cloud” set fire to the countless oil production sites and caused uncontrollable blazes which would sweep across the planet. Their aim was to destabilize the world and the result is an environmental catastrophe.

Fifteen years has passed since the fires first started burning and now you are searching for a better life. You travel in a airship high above the barren landscapes looking for somewhere you can settle and make a better life. Along the way you will be forced to battle the “Cloud” militia and earn rewards for your efforts.

You will visit distant cities, send out your drones and collect resources of power, water, scrap and project cards. These resources will allow you to entice new crew members to your airship and also to develop useful upgrades. As you try to predict which cloud-covered terrain will benefit you the most, the innovative sleeving mechanism offers a new, more immersive form of resource collection.

CloudAge’s campaign system makes it a breeze to pick up and play. As you progress through the chapters new elements will be introduced. Rather than follow the full campaign there is also the option to play standalone story spin-offs as single scenarios.
